Omaha Hi Lo Poker Games in India

Omaha Hi/Lo poker is a variant of Omaha poker with slight differences in pot distribution amongst winners that makes the game interesting. The game rules are similar to Omaha but the difference is at showdown where the winner is not one but two, one high ranking player satisfying hand ranking rules and one low hand ranking player satisfying the low ranking criteria as below:
– The low hand must comprise of two cards from player hole cards and three cards from the board.
– Qualifying low hand rank comprises of five unpaired cards all of rank 8 or below.
– Aces will be considered low for the low ranking card.
– Flushes and straights are not considered for low rank. So 5-4-3-2-A is best possible regardless of suit.
– Card suits doesn’t hold any priority so if two players have 8-6-5-4-2 and 8♣-6♣-5♣-4♣-2♣ then low half pot amount will be distributed among both the players.

If there is no qualifying low hand, the high hand wins the entire pot. The pot is evenly split between the Hi hand and the Lo hand and the same cards can be used in declaring both Hi and Lo.
